During the Christmas holiday, our team went out to some of the poorest communities in Lusaka Zambia and gave out food hampers and meals.
The women that were focused on were the ones that are single and with no source of income. Some are unable to provide the normal three meals a day.
Our work makes a positive difference in the lives of many marginalized communities. We know that Christmas is a time for families to come together and share meals but unfortunately for most of these women, it is a challenge due to lack of an income.
However Women In Bloom believe it is important to get out and share meals and show these people love.
Despite our very best efforts, the food we supplied still was not enough. That is why we are relying on you, individuals, corporate donors and government at all levels.
