Juneteenth, also known as Jubilee Day, is a federal holiday in the United States that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved black Americans. It’s also a day dedicated to honouring African-American culture.
Today we want to recognize every African American in the United States and say, we need to do more! It’s not enough to recognize the day, but we must ensure that African Americans are not marginalized! In today’s political climate, we see that there is a nefarious plan to silence the voices, supress the freedom, and bring African Americans back to that dark period. That cannot and must not be tolerated!
Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom and we want that freedom to continue.
