March is a very happy and joyful time, seasons are changing, flowers are blooming, and it’s International Women’s Month. International Women’s Day is a global holiday to recognize and acknowledge all the incredible women all around the world. IWM became a mainstream holiday in 1977 after being adopted by the united nations. During International Women’s Month, we acknowledge all the strong beautiful women around us, whether that be women who are mothers, women who can’t be mothers, working women, women who look and like you, and most importantly women who don’t look like you. This International Women’s Month was an extra special one because of the historic nomination, and current confirmation of the first black female supreme court justice in the United States. Biden nominated Ketanji Brown Jackson as the first Black female in the supreme court of justice. All in all this International Women’s Month will defiantly be one for the books.
