TV & Radio > Raine was an on-air Reporter for Rogers TV. Her infectious smile, passion for journalism, and her tenacity for story-telling in and around Toronto’s many communities led her to be a reporter for two of Rogers TV’s shows – Rogers’ number one show ‘daytime Toronto’ and also a ‘Caribbean-Canadian News program. Raine is a former CBC Alum who held the positions as an Associate News Producer/Writer at Newsworld and as a Production Coordinator for Newsworld International. She is also a former News/Entertainment Co-Host & Reporter for CKLN FM Radio and was a freelance writer for Global TV’s ET Canada.
Publishing > Raine had the pleasure of fulfilling one of her goals, which was to work in Diversity Media Publishing. Sway Magazine was a magazine which highlighted Cultural awareness and was a division of The Toronto Star. It was Toronto and Canada’s largest premier Caribbean lifestyle magazine! It represented the achievements of Caribbean and Afro-Blacks living in the Greater Toronto Area. She recognized and implemented an Advertising, PR and Social Media strategy to create a position in 2011 as the first Advertising Coordinator for Sway since working closely with the Publisher in 2010. Raine also contributed as a writer for Sway Online. Sway originally had a 7 year run from 2005 to August 2012.
